today
We are all just hanging out. The girl has gone with a friend for a birthday celebration – a movie then the mall, maybe some eats. The boy is gaming as always. I am thinking of working on some web design and maybe catching a football game later, as it is homecoming week for the ASU Red Wolves.
I just finished reading:
Click here to read my review. (which isn’t a large review, lol) Awesome book!

this weekend
I promised the girl we would do something special, and we are thinking about going to the ceramics place and checking it out. Also talking with some friends about having a “craft” party – adults and kids alike getting together one weekend and just crafting. Thought it sounded like fun. Might be fun to do some Halloween crafts next month, who knows?
Let’s see, the 5 week progress reports are supposed to come home tomorrow and I see some groundings in a couple of children’s futures. Heh.
ASU first home game!
The girl and I went to ASU’s first home game of the season, and their first home game as the Arkansas State University Red Wolves. My aunt and cousin joined us. ASU won the game 83-10.
This is Howler, our new mascot, right after being introduced to the crowd:
We had a good time, and it is always good when you stomp them.

bored.
The kids are at their dad’s this weekend. I’ve worked on trying to occupy my time because life isn’t so good for me right now other than them.
Thinking of getting on Netflix to see what movies are available for immediate viewing. I did watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last Sunday via immediate viewing – I cried practically the whole time. Can’t say I hated it, but can’t say I loved it either because the subject hit me hard.
Went to Barnes & Noble today with a gift card, and couldn’t really work up the nerve to try and find a new series to start reading. I’ve bought so many of the “first” of series before only to hate the book. And paperback being $8 each now! puh-lease. I need to find a used book store and do some swapping, don’t I?
